National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq held a telephone conversation with the newly elected Speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh, Hafizuddin Ahmed, during which the two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen parliamentary relations between their countries.
During the conversation, Ahmed thanked Ayaz Sadiq for his congratulatory message following his election as Speaker. The two counterparts exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and emphasised the importance of promoting parliamentary diplomacy between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Sadiq reiterated his determination to enhance cooperation and contacts between the National Assembly of Pakistan and the Parliament of Bangladesh. He said strengthening parliamentary engagement would help deepen bilateral understanding and cooperation.
The Speaker of the National Assembly also invited Ahmed to visit Pakistan, stating that the Parliament and people of Pakistan were looking forward to welcoming him.
Sadiq extended his best wishes to the newly elected Bangladeshi Speaker and prayed for his success in carrying out his responsibilities.
