In a major crackdown against human trafficking and visa fraud, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Gujranwala Zone has arrested two notorious human smugglers involved in extorting millions of rupees from unsuspecting citizens under the pretext of providing jobs abroad.

According to FIA officials, the arrested suspects have been identified as Talha Hameed and Sabir Ali. Both were nabbed in targeted operations conducted in Pasrur (Sialkot) and Ahmedpur Sial (Jhang), respectively.

Talha Hameed was arrested from Mohalla Imam Sahib, Pasrur, where he was allegedly involved in cheating a citizen out of Rs 1.3 million, promising employment in Russia but deceptively sending the victim to Azerbaijan instead.

In a separate raid, Sabir Ali was apprehended from Ahmedpur Sial, Jhang. FIA reports that he defrauded individuals of Rs 1.16 million, claiming he would facilitate their employment in Iraq. However, he failed to deliver and disappeared after pocketing the money.

The FIA spokesperson confirmed that both suspects were involved in organized human trafficking and visa scams, and further investigations are underway to trace their networks and recover the stolen funds.

The agency reiterated its commitment to dismantling such rackets that prey on the dreams of citizens seeking a better future abroad.
