The Pakistan Army has fulfilled the heartfelt wish of Usman Aqeel, a young boy from Karachi battling the life-threatening disease calciphylaxis.
Usman had expressed a desire to spend a day as an officer in the Pakistan Army. In a touching gesture, Corps Commander Karachi, Lieutenant General Owais Dastgir, made that dream come true by inviting him to Corps Headquarters.
During his visit, Usman was warmly welcomed and praised for his courage. In a symbolic ceremony, his mother conferred upon him the honorary rank of captain, and he spent the day alongside army personnel, engaging in various activities.
Usman was given a demonstration of the weapons used by the Pakistan Army and received briefings on training procedures and operational strategies.
Speaking on the occasion, Usman expressed his gratitude: “Today, my wish to join the Pakistan Army has been fulfilled. I am thankful to Corps Commander Karachi for this opportunity.”
He went on to express his admiration for the military, saying, “The way the Pakistan Army defeated India in Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos is unmatched. Every child in Pakistan stands with our armed forces and is always ready to defend the nation.”
