Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Tuesday that the time had come for the world to give proof that Pakistan was involved in acts of terrorism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to the media in the Parliament House, he said Pakistan had repeatedly said that there should be an investigation into the Pulwama, Pahalgam and other attacks that took place in Indian occupied Kashmir.

He further said that on the contrary, Pakistan had suffered immensely at the hands of terrorists. “Even today, we are the victims of terrorism,” he said, and added, “It is high time that Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terrorism were acknowledged.”

Asif went on to say the truth of the matter was that India itself supported terrorism not only in Pakistan but also in Canada and the USA. “In fact, India is a global terrorist.”

The minister said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was facing criticism from within and outside the parliament over his country’s defeat in the war against Pakistan. “Things have become very difficult for the Indian prime minister to manage,” he said, adding, “Modi’s days are numbered as the people of India will throw him out in the next elections.”

Regarding the agenda of talks with India, he said it was a three-point agenda.

“The Kashmir issue is at number one in our talks with our neighbour followed by terrorism,” the minister said, adding, “The third point is the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty by India.”

The treaty, he added, could not be suspended.
