A Chinese national was allegedly abducted at gunpoint from the Golra area of Islamabad before later being released by the suspects, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the police sources, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Golra police station, where the victim was reportedly taken along with his vehicle by unidentified armed men.
Police sources said the suspects also snatched the Chinese citizen’s Honda Civic car, wallet and mobile phone during the incident.
Officials stated that three armed men allegedly held the victim hostage at gunpoint before taking him from the Golra area to Mawa village near Simly Dam Road in the Bara Kahu region.
According to police, the suspects later abandoned the victim near Mawa village and fled from the scene.
The Chinese citizen reportedly informed investigators that three men were involved in the alleged abduction.
Police have registered a case at Nilore police station and launched an investigation into the incident.
