The government is likely to cut the prices of petroleum products by Rs3 per litre next week.
According to sources, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has prepared a summary of the prices of petroleum products. Sources say that Ogra has suggested a Rs3.5 cut in the price of petrol and Rs2.5 cut in the price of high-speed diesel. The new price would be announced after prime minister’s approval and the new prices would be applicable for 15 days from November 16.
