Pakistan’s professional esports player Arslan Ash wins Evolution Championship Series (EVO) Tekken Championship for the record seventh time by winning EVO France 2025 and cements his legacy as the Greatest of All Time in Tekken history.
Arslan Ash, who is already a six-time EVO champion, wins it for the seventh time, Arslan outplayed 1,169 competitors at Evo France 2025, finishing with an incredible 15–1 set record, after he made an incredible comeback from the lower bracket into the finals.
In the Grand Finals, Arslan was against South Korea’s Jeon “JeonDDing” Sang-hyun, who was undefeated in the winners’ run and was seen as the favorite heading into the final but Arslan shocked everyone and wins the final for the record seventh time and also won cash prize of €7,400. Arslan defeated JeonDDing 3-1 in the first round and reset the bracket, and then defeated him 3-2 to become champion
“I may be the one holding the trophy, but this win belongs to everyone who believed. 7th EVO title. Alhamdulillah.” Arslan Ash tweeted. At this point, Arslan Ash is on a generational run. He currently has the most Tekken Evo victories of any other pro player worldwide. Later on, Arslan wrote a cheeky tweet, “Someone remind me… how many days make a week?” reminding his 7th EVO title and equating his championships to the days of the week.
Arslan Ash winning continues the domination of Pakistan in the Tekken world and has firmly established his legacy as one of the greatest players in Tekken history. Over the past few years, Arslan has not only brought home titles but have shifted the global esports spotlight toward Pakistan’s ever-growing fighting game community. Arslan has already won EVO US (2019, 2023, 2024, 2025) and EVO Japan (2019, 2023) and now also won the first edition of EVO France. He remains the only player in Tekken history to win EVO events across three continents: Asia, North America, and Europe.
