After the approval of Prime Minister, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued dismissal notification of Rana Waqar Ali, an officer of grade 20 over misconduct, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the notification, the inquiry found Rana Waqar Ali guilty of incompetence, misconduct and corruption, as disciplinary action was taken against Rana Waqar Ali, Grade 20, Inland Revenue Service (IRS).
IRS Grade 21 officer Amna Hassan was appointed as the inquiry officer. The inquiry officer's report proved all the allegations against Rana Waqar Ali and recommended the dismissal of Rana Waqar Ali.
In light of the inquiry report, a show cause notice was sent to Rana Waqar Ali, the Prime Minister appointed Syed Nadeem Hussain Rizvi of IRS Grade 22 as Hearing Officer, the hearing officer also provided an opportunity for the accused officer to be heard.
According to the notification, Rana Waqar Ali of Grade 20 has the right to appeal against the dismissal and an appeal can be filed within 30 days in the appellate authority against the dismissal.
