Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said on Monday that the election of the new KP CM was unconstitutional, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, she said that the speech delivered by the KP CM-elect Sohail Afridi made her laugh. “I don’t think that Afridi has any talent which led to his nomination for the seat of the CM,” she added.

She claimed that PTI founder Imran Khan asked Ali Amin Gandapur to resign from the seat of the chief minister on the insistence of his sister Aleema Khan, while nominated Afridi for the seat because his wife Bushra Bibi had asked him to do so.

The minister said it was unfortunate that Afridi did not mention any development schemes he had in mind for the people of the province. “Look at Punjab whose chief minister has given laptops to the students.”

Responding to a question, she said that if the PTI would march on Rawalpindi to get Imran released from the Adiala Jail, the Punjab government was ready to deal with it.

Azma, on the occasion, also listed the number of houses built under the Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz’s ‘Apna Ghar, Apni Chat’ scheme.

The minister also enumerated other steps taken by the Punjab government for the welfare of the masses.

She told reporters that the people of the province would soon get to hear good news about the bullet train between Lahore and Rawalpindi.
