A local office holder of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was killed and his driver injured in a shooting incident in Haripur on Sunday evening.
Victim Malik Tahir Iqbal was additional general secretary of the PTI Hazara Division. He was considered one of the close friends of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Awan was returning home when he came under attack. His driver was shifted to Ayub Medical Complex in a critical condition.
