SCBAP annual election schedule announced, polling on October 16

Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP) has announced the schedule of the annual election and polling will be held on October 16 from 8:30 am to 5 pm, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. SCBA Returning Officer Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi announced the schedule. The last date for clearing life membership/dues is set for September 16 while the provisional list of eligible voters to be released on September 17. The objections and errors in the voters list to be pointed out on September 18. 

According to the schedule, decisions on objections will be taken on September 19 while the final voters list to be released on September 20. The nomination papers to be submitted from September 22 to 27. 

The scrutiny of nomination papers and hearing on objections to be held on September 29 and the provisional list of candidates to be released on September 30. 

The last date for filing appeals set for October 1. The appeals will be decided by October 3 while the candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations by October 4. 

The final list of candidates will be released on October 4. The elections will be held on October 16 from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The counting, recount and results will be announced on October 20. Outgoing and newly elected office bearers will take charge on November 3. Only those members who have paid their dues by September 16 will be able to vote.
