The total number of Roshan Digital Accounts (RDAs) opened by overseas Pakistanis has reached 966,144, with deposits exceeding $13.9 billion by August 2026, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to State Bank of Pakistan data, overseas Pakistanis opened 9,354 new Roshan Digital Accounts in August, taking the total number of accounts to 966,144. During the month, $259 million was deposited into the accounts.
The total inflow into Roshan Digital Accounts has now crossed $13.9 billion. Of this amount, $1.2 million was withdrawn in August, taking total withdrawals through the accounts to $2.13 billion.
State Bank figures also showed that $164 million deposited into Roshan Digital Accounts was used locally during August, while the cumulative amount used within Pakistan stood at $8.7 billion.
The State Bank said $3 billion remained deposited in Roshan Digital Accounts as of August 2026.
Investment through the accounts also continued. Overseas Pakistanis placed $716 million in Naya Pakistan Conventional Certificates and $1.332 billion in Naya Pakistan Islamic Certificates. A further $166 million was invested through Roshan Equity Investment.
According to the figures, more than $2.2 billion has been invested through Roshan Digital Accounts over the past six years, highlighting continued participation by overseas Pakistanis in Pakistan’s financial and investment markets.
