The wait for Android 15 on Samsung’s top smartphones has been a long one — unless you’re using the Galaxy S25 series, which launched with the update pre-installed. While Google’s Pixel phones received Android 15 back in October, Samsung has only recently begun rolling it out to its flagship devices. Now, that rollout appears to have hit a snag.

According to leakers @UniverseIce and @tarunvats33 (via Android Police), Samsung has paused the global rollout of its One UI 7 update — its customized version of Android 15 — for the Galaxy S24 series, as well as the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6.

The reason? @UniverseIce reports that some users encountered a serious issue where their phones couldn't be unlocked normally after installing the update. Given the severity of the bug, it’s not surprising that Samsung has decided to put the brakes on the release while it investigates and resolves the problem.
