The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the 59th batch of its International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP), offering six-month international research fellowships to PhD scholars from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the HEC, students enrolled in PhD programmes between 2022 and 2024 are eligible to apply for the initiative, which aims to facilitate advanced research exposure at leading global universities.
Applicants are required to secure acceptance from a top-ranked foreign university and submit an approved research proposal as part of the application process.
The deadline for submission of applications for IRSIP Batch 59 has been set for May 11, 2026. The commission has also announced a non-refundable processing fee of Rs3,000 for applicants.
The HEC said the programme is designed to enhance research capacity and provide international academic exposure to Pakistani scholars.
