Mohsin Naqvi directs Pakistan Coast Guards to suppress smuggling mafia

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Tuesday directed Pakistan Coast Guards to continue vigorous operations for anti-drug and anti-smuggling, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Chairing a meeting during his visit to Pakistan Coast Guard Headquarters in Karachi, Mohsin Naqvi said that all energies are being spent to suppress the smuggling mafia.

Coast Guards is a force that performs its duties simultaneously on land and at sea, he said.

Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan Coast Guards have an important role not only in peacetime but also in any difficult and warlike situation.

“Government will ensure the provision of all possible support and resources to make Pakistan Coast Guards more active and stronger.”

Earlier, DG Pakistan Coast Guards General Jawad Riaz welcomed Interior Minister upon his arrival.

Mohsin Naqvi also visited the Martyrs' Memorial at the Pakistan Coast Guards Headquarters and laid flowers and offered Fateha,

Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Coast Guards in powerful words and said that the martyrs of the Pakistan Coast Guards made eternal sacrifices to protect the coastal areas and the great sacrifices of the martyrs will always be remembered.

Mohsin Naqvi appreciated the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Coast Guards and said that the operation of the ferry will greatly facilitate the pilgrims in going to Iraq.
