The federal government on Tuesday issued orders for appointments, transfers and retirements of senior bureaucrats, according to separate notifications released by the Establishment Division.
As per the notifications, several top officials are set to retire upon reaching the age of superannuation. These include Grade 22 Privatisation Division Secretary Hammad Shamimi, who will retire on September 23, 2026.
Planning Division Joint Secretary Niloofar Hafeez is scheduled to retire on August 6, 2026, while Finance Division Joint Secretary Muhammad Pervez Alam will retire on September 22, 2026. Additionally, Finance Division Joint Secretary Izhar Ahmed is set to retire on September 18, 2026.
Meanwhile, the government has announced new appointments and transfers. Muhammad Adnan Nazir, previously serving as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD), has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Climate Change Division.
In a further development, six officers awaiting postings in the Establishment Division have been appointed deputy secretaries. These include Abdul Ahad, Amjad Ali, Shaukat Ali Khan, Wasiqa Waheed, Falak Sher and Ghulam Khaliq.
The appointments reflect ongoing administrative reshuffling aimed at filling key positions across various federal departments.
