Three people were killed and two others were injured after a Datsun van plunged into a deep ravine in the Lower Dir area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The incident took place in Swat Border area of Lower Dir.
The victims who died at the scene included a minor girl, a woman and an elderly man. Residents said the deceased were related to one another.
Those injured were taken to Lal Qila Hospital and the District Headquarters Hospital in Timergara for treatment.
Hospital sources said one of the injured was in critical condition.
Police said a case had been registered and an investigation into the incident had been launched.
