Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan up by 75 percent in July

A marked increase has been witnessed in the exports of Pakistani goods to Afghanistan in the first month of the ongoing financial year (FY), 2024-25, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.


Quoting its sources, the channel reported that Pakistan’s exports to the neighbouring country rose by 75 per cent in July, 2024 on a year-to-year basis, while the bilateral trade upped by 41 per cent after an increase by $140.11 million.


The bilateral year in the same month last FY stood at $100 million, they informed.


In July, the volume of Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan stood at $100.35 million, while during the same period last year, it was recorded at $50.91 million.


On the other hand, sources informed that in July, 2024, Pakistan’s imports from the landlocked country dropped by eight per cent and were recorded at $30.77 million, while during the same month last year, the imports stood at $40.9 million.
