Sobia Shahid, a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday.
Sobia was on her way from Peshawar to Lahore to attend an anti-government gathering of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) at Minar-e-Pakistan when she received her test report.
By the time, she had reached Pindi Bhattian and PML-N senior leader Ameer Muqaam asked her to return home. Finally, she returned home instead of coming to Lahore.
PDM is an alliance of 11 opposition parties currently trying to topple the federal government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
