Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has summoned an emergency meeting of his economic team to get a briefing on the economic condition of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to sources, the meeting will begin shortly. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, State Bank of Pakistan Governor Jameel Ahmed and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officials will also attend the meeting.
In the meeting, the premier will be briefed regarding the payment of debts, foreign exchange reserves and the value of the dollar.
Sources said that the prime minister will give important instructions to the economic team aimed at improving the economic situation.
