Karachi Kings have named left-handed batter Shan Masood the new captain for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) which is tentatively scheduled between February and March.
Multan Sultan's management traded Shan for the first pick in Diamond category, the second pick in Silver category as well as Multan-born left-arm wrist spinner Faisal Akram. Karachi Kings have gotten Multan Sultansโ fourth pick in the first Diamond round.

Shan is now set to lead the Kings in the upcoming season where the Karachi-based franchise will look to clinch their second PSL title.
PSL 9 has seen some of the biggest trades in the past days with players like Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Naseem Shah changing their teams in the most unexpected fashion.
Karachi Kings also traded their captain and the Player of the Tournament of last season, Imad Wasim, with Islamabad Unitedโs Hasan Ali.
Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal said they were rebuilding the team on the advice of the management. He said they have high hopes from Shan who has made a very good total during warm up match in Australia.
He said it were the players who have to perform on the field. He asked the Karachiites to come in numbers to support their team.
