The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) attempt to play politics on “dead bodies” has fallen flat as another of its so-called “deceased” worker has turned up alive, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
PTI social media activist Khadija Siddiqui had issued a list of 139 “fake names” which, as the party claimed, fell victim to violence during the PTI’s recent violence in Islamabad.
One such “deceased” worker, Khalid Mazari, got flabbergasted after seeing his name in the fake PTI list.
Khalid Mazari issued a video statement, saying he is alive. “My name was listed at 59 number on the PTI’s false list,” he added.
However, senior PTI leader Babar Awan while talking to newsmen outside District and Sessions Court in Islamabad on Saturday, said “The government should reveal the number of ‘missing’ PTI workers. They can’t deny it.”
He also urged the government to allow medical check-up of their injured workers. “Omar Ayub was hit by a shell on his neck but no case was registered. KP IGP should lodge a case in this regard,” he said.
Babar Awan remarked that the government people were making fun of PTI’s dialogue committee. “Get ready for civil disobedience campaign,” he asked workers.
