Punjab authorities have decided to place the Ring Road Police under the supervision of the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to the sources, the decision will see CTO Athar Waheed overseeing both administrative and operational matters related to personnel deployed on the Ring Road.
The sources told the channel that staff assigned to the Ring Road will be sent from the Traffic Police, ensuring coordinated management and operational efficiency.
The sources also added that authorities have officially informed CTO Athar Waheed of the development.
The sources said the move is expected to streamline traffic management and enhance enforcement on the city’s busy Ring Road.
