Islamabad Airport authorities, acting through FIA Immigration, intercepted a passenger attempting to travel to Europe using his brother’s passport, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to the details, the passenger, identified as Muhammad Arslan, tried to board flight TK751 to Italy by presenting his brother Muhammad Imran’s passport and resident card.
During immigration clearance, officials found the passenger’s actions suspicious and immediately offloaded him.
He was later handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Islamabad for further investigation and identification of any agents involved in facilitating the fraudulent travel attempt.
The FIA issued a public advisory urging citizens to always follow legal procedures when travelling abroad and cautioned against handing over personal documents, including passports, to unrelated individuals.
