Flight operations at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport were disrupted on Sunday after technical and operational issues forced the cancellation of several domestic and international departures, causing inconvenience to passengers.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, airport authorities confirmed that at least seven flights departing from Karachi were cancelled due to the disruptions.

Among the affected services were Emirates flights EK 609 and EK 605 bound for Dubai, as well as Oman Air flight WY 516 scheduled to depart for Muscat.

Domestic air travel was also impacted, with AirSial cancelling two flights each to Lahore and Islamabad.

Flights PF 141 and PF 145 to Lahore and PF 123 and PF 121 to Islamabad were grounded as the airport’s flight schedule was thrown into disarray.

Officials said the cancellations were the result of technical and operational constraints, though further details were not immediately disclosed.

Passengers were advised to contact their respective airlines for updated information regarding rescheduling and refunds.

The disruption led to delays and confusion at the airport as travellers awaited further announcements, highlighting ongoing challenges in maintaining smooth flight operations during technical outages.
