Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) force has started preparations to deal with the day-to-day resistance and public backlash and will be equipped with modern equipment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
It has been proposed to provide paper ball guns to Pera force for field operations.
Paper ball guns will be used to disperse the crowd during operations.
The proposal is under consideration in view of resistance, scuffles and other incidents during Pera force operations.
Different models of paper ball guns have been ordered for testing at Pera Headquarters.
Paper ball guns are used in the style of tear gas and fire causes irritation to the eyes and skin and difficulty in breathing.
Paper guns are used to disperse the crowd.
