The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Sunday arrested Lahore’s corrupt tehsildar Abdur Rehman and registered a case against him and his accomplices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that others who had been nominated in the FIR were Private Reader Nisar Ahmad, Niaz Beg Ijaz and Ali.
Sources further said that a case had been registered against the tehsildar for indulging in corrupt practices.
As per the FIR registered, Abdur Rehman took Rs500,000 in bribe for not taking action against the violation of one-dish policy.
Similarly, he received Rs1 million from a man named Ashraf in the case of demarcation of a land.
It was also mentioned in the FIR that Abdur Rehman deliberately kept the transfer of lands pending, and demanded hefty amounts for registering the transfer of properties.
Furthermore, the FIR read, the tehsildar failed to defend himself during the inquiry.
The case was registered on the complaint of Additional Corruption Sohaib Butt.
