The preliminary investigation into the suicide incident of a girl school student at a Hyderabad school has been completed according to which school administration exhibited irresponsible behavior and negligence and did not try to stop the student from committing suicide, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The inquiry committee, constituted under the directions of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, has recommended authorities to sack the school principal. Registration of the school has also been suspended by the Education Department.
The inquiry report has been submitted to Sindh Education Minister. The girl was a student of sixth class.
Inquiry committee took help of CCTV footage and the information provided by the police.
The inquiry report said that soon after the incident the principal and school staff left the institution.
The report said that police gave the inquiry team access to CCTV footage of the incident. According to footage, two members of school administration was present at the time of incident, but they did not try to save the girl student.
Police have included the both persons of school staff in investigations. The report said that despite surveillance through CCTV footage, school administration did not save the girl student. The report further said that it had been proved that school administration showed irresponsible behavior before and after the incident.
Sindh Education Minister said that stern action will be taken against school administration for showing negligence and irresponsible behavior and no concession will be made to them.
