Two people were killed and three others were injured in an explosion while making a bomb in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila, Bangladesh. The incident took place at around 10 am on Saturday in a house in Char Bagdanga Union of Sadar Upazila.
According to local sources, a sudden explosion occurred in a room while making a bomb in the house of Kalam Ali in Char Bagdanga Union. Two people were killed on the spot and three were injured. It is learnt that the injured were rescued and are being treated locally.
The intensity of the explosion completely destroyed the house. As the faces of the deceased were burnt, it was not possible to immediately identify them. However, it is initially believed that they came from outside and were making bombs there. Tension prevails in the area over the incident. It is learnt that the army has inspected the scene.
