A delegation from Syria led by custodian of Hazrat Bibi Zainab's shrine called on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad on Saturday and discussed various issues with him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Arrangements to provide maximum facilities to pilgrims were discussed in the meeting.
The meeting agreed to increase mutual cooperation to provide maximum facilities to pilgrims.
Talking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said Hazrat Bibi Zainab (RA) holds a special place in the hearts of the Muslim Ummah.
Mohsin Naqvi said hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis go to Syria for pilgrimage every year. “We can all create facilities for pilgrims through joint arrangements,” he added.
The Syrian delegation invited Mohsin Naqvi to visit their country.
The delegation included Dr Muazin Hani, Dr Azmat Hussain and Professor Noor Zaidi.
