Zara Noor Abbas melted hearts on Instagram with an emotional tribute dedicated to her mother Asma Abbas.
The actor reshared a nostalgic Instagram Story featuring a warm, grainy visual of a toddler walking toward a woman in a softly sunlit room.
The text overlay read: “I would pick my mother to be my mother again in any and every lifetime.”
The vintage aesthetic and heartfelt message captured the timeless bond between mother and daughter.
Before this Instagram Story, Zara Noor Abbas posted a birthday message for her mom on her Instagram. Zara penned a deeply personal caption. She revealed that she had asked ChatGPT to create a Rockwell-style painting from a photo of her mother and her daughter, Noor-e-jahan.
While she candidly admitted that the AI-generated image didn’t accurately capture their real appearances, she appreciated the emotion it conveyed. For Zara, it wasn’t about perfection, it was about feeling.
In her moving note, she confessed that she cannot imagine her mother ever growing old. She described how she still relies on her amma for everything, from warming Noor-e-jahan’s feeder during Lahore’s freezing nights to packing her bags and offering honest, sometimes tough, advice.
“I don’t think I can fathom the fact that amma will ever get old… I can’t accept it,” she shared, adding that even when her mother can’t do everything, she still somehow manages, simply because she’s amma.
Zara also reflected on how becoming a mother herself transformed her understanding of her own mother’s sacrifices. Since welcoming her daughter, she says she now comprehends the sleepless nights, the silent worries, and the unconditional effort that once seemed effortless.
Motherhood, she implied, has given her a deeper empathy, a realisation of the invisible emotional labour her mother carried all these years. What once felt natural now feels extraordinary.
She expressed how rewarding it is to watch her mother bond with Noor-e-jahan, especially in moments when her daughter instinctively reaches for her grandmother first, even when Zara is in the same room. Instead of jealousy, there is pride and gratitude, a full-circle moment of love spanning three generations.
Calling her mother her “Best Friend” and a never-ending treasure, Zara ended the tribute with heartfelt birthday wishes for a healthy, long life "With me. Amma and piku Forever ”
