A fire broke out in a restaurant located on Shaheed Millat Road area of Bahadurabad in Karachi on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to rescue officials, the restaurant was functioning in a residential building and after efforts the blaze was brought under control.
Fire-brigade officer Tariq said that the fire was reported at 10:55 am and three fire tenders were dispatched at 10:56 am.
He said that the fire was brought under control only after 25 minutes of struggle.
The cooling process is going on and there was no loss of life in the incident, said fire brigade officials.
A family trapped in a residential building above the restaurant was also rescued, fire officials said.
However, the cause of the fire was not immediately known, fire officer said.
