Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced that his party will hold a series of public meetings and rallies after Eid to protest rising inflation and growing political unrest in the country.
The first of these gatherings is scheduled for April 12 in Mardan, where Maulana Fazlur Rehman himself will address the crowd. In preparation for the event, JUI’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter has been instructed to begin organizing logistics and mobilizing party workers.
Party sources said that further public meetings and rallies will be announced after the Mardan event, signalling an extended campaign aimed at highlighting economic challenges and political grievances across the country.
The announcement marks JUI’s renewed focus on grassroots mobilisation and public engagement as the party seeks to draw attention to issues affecting ordinary citizens, particularly the rising cost of living.
