The Federal Cabinet has constituted a cabinet committee to deliberate on the new design of currency notes.
The Cabinet, which met in Islamabad today with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair, was briefed by the Ministry of Finance on the proposed designs of banknotes to be issued by the State Bank of Pakistan.
It was informed that the new currency notes are being designed in accordance with modern requirements. The cabinet was further apprised that international experts have been engaged for this purpose.
The Cabinet also referred the draft Private Hajj Policy 2027-2030, presented by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, to the Hajj Policy Committee for further consideration.
