Two notorious dacoits were arrested in an injured condition, and their other colleagues escaped during a police encounter in Khairpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The police encounter took place at Wisro Wahan Road, located in the jurisdiction of Babarlu Police Station in Khairpur.
SSP Khairpur said that the injured dacoits, who were later identified as Imtiaz Ahmad Memon and Mohamad Ramzan Sheikh were involved in different incidents of motorcycle snatching.
The SSP said that arrested dacoits were wanted by the police in some serious criminal cases as they are members of an active gang of motorcycle snatchers gang.
Police also recovered two pistols and bullets from the custody of the arrested accused.
