Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has found herself in the spotlight after responding to social media users who claimed her changed appearance was the result of cosmetic surgery or beauty filters.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the actress addressed the rumors in a series of videos, questioning why people are so quick to assume that anyone who looks different or loses weight must have undergone surgery.

Expressing her frustration, Alizeh said, “mujhey aik baat bataye aap log, aap logon ka dimaagh kharab hai ya aap logon ki aankhein, no, but seriously, what are you guys talking about, where is the god damn filter, there is no filter in my video. Mujhey lagta hai apparently koi kisi se zyada goodlooking lagna shuru hojaye ya koi kisi ki expectation se zyada weight lose kar jaye, toh seedha bande k dimagh main aik hi sawal aata hai, surgery hai bhai surgery hai."

Which translates to: “Let me tell you guys one thing is there something wrong with your brain or your eyes? No, but seriously, what are you guys talking about? Where is the god damn filter? There is no filter in my video. I think apparently, if someone starts looking better than someone else, or if someone loses more weight than what people expected, the very first question that pops into a person's mind is, 'Bro, it's surgery, it's surgery.'"

Throughout the video, the actress repeatedly touched her face to demonstrate that she was not using any filter. In another Instagram Story, she also showed her eyelashes and wrote, “and no these aren’t lash extensions”.

The videos came after Alizeh faced criticism and speculation following the viral circulation of her latest "Get Ready with Me" (GRWM) video. The actress maintained that her lifted appearance is the result of makeup techniques rather than Botox or cosmetic surgery.

While some social media users questioned whether she had altered her appearance through filters or cosmetic procedures, many fans came to her defense, praising her natural beauty. Several admirers even described her as a "real-life Barbie doll."

One social media user wrote, “I really really miss the beauty of Alizeh... like the way she was in ‘Ehd-E-Wafa’ and ‘Dil Moam Ka Diya’ You were the prettiest... you are still looking beautiful but that time you were real God given beauty.
