Pronouncing a verdict in the Majid Satti murder case, a court in Rawalpindi on Tuesday sentenced three accused, including main suspect Farrukh Khokhar, to life imprisonment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court, however, acquitted Waseem, another accused in the case.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Afghan Ijaz Soofi read out the verdict.
The moment the court pronounced the decision, police took Farrukh into custody and shifted him to Adiala Jail amid tight security.
Farrukh was on bail while the other two convicts were brought from jail and produced in court.
Heirs and relatives of the deceased were present at the judicial complex along with a large number of supporters of Farrukh.
Strict security measures were put in place to maintain law and order as armed persons and vehicles were not allowed to enter the premises.
People entering the judicial complex were also searched.
The case had been registered on August 8, 2022 at the Sadiqabad police station of Rawalpindi and remained under trial for four years before the court delivered its verdict.
