Police arrested the younger brother of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Member of National Assembly (MNA) from Jacobabad, Aijaz Jakhrani, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to the report, the police shifted the young brother of Aijaz Jakhrani, who was identified as Mir Azad Jakhrani, to an unknown place after his arrest.
Khalid Jakhrani, the elder brother of Mir Azad Jakhrani, also confirmed the arrest of his brother.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jacobabad failed to confirm or deny the arrest of Mir Azad Jakhrani.
After parting ways with his brother, MNA Mir Aijaz Jakharani, Mir Azad Jakhrani reached Jacobabad, where he was detained by the police.
Earlier in April 2026, Mir Zahid Khan Jakhrani, the 22-year-old son of MNA Mir Aijaz Khan Jakhrani, passed away during treatment at a Karachi hospital.
He had been under treatment at the South City Hospital for 12 days and died of a brain haemorrhage, his relatives in Jacobabad said. He was laid to rest in the Jakhrani family’s ancestral graveyard in Jacobabad.
