The Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police has issued a notification confirming 24 Traffic Officers (BS-17) as Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) Traffic, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
According to the notification, 24 out of 82 Traffic Officers serving across Punjab have been formally confirmed in the rank of DSP Traffic. The confirmation has been made effective retrospectively from December 4, 2024.
Among the officers confirmed are Ashfaq Khan, Farrukh Raees, Muhammad Yaseen Bhatti, Farrukh Azhar, Jameel Akbar, Mian Umair, Rana Shahzad, Aqeel Gujjar, Muhammad Shaukat, and Muhammad Adnan, along with other eligible officers.
With the issuance of the formal notification, all the promoted officers have now been permanently confirmed in their current rank in accordance with the Punjab Police Rules 2020.
