Police have initiated action against the security company, which employed the guards who were seen beating a man and firing gunshots at him at the Beijing Underpass on Lahore's Canal Road on Thursday.
Police said they have arrested four suspects allegedly involved in the Dharampura Underpass shooting incident, which gained widespread attention after a video went viral the day before.
The disturbing video, which was condemned by many, showed armed guards from a private security company escorting a luxury vehicle while openly displaying weapons and violating traffic laws. The security guards fired at a car rider at the underpass, assaulted him, and fled the scene, leaving behind a vehicle and some weapons. The video revealed that traffic had slowed down at the underpass when the guards got into a heated argument with the car rider.
