Bigg Boss 17 contestant and YouTuber Anurag Dobhal’s health has taken a serious turn after he was briefly discharged from the ICU. The star, who was hospitalised following a car crash during a live Instagram session, is now battling a severe lung infection, his manager confirmed.
Rohit Panday, Anurag’s manager, provided an update early Saturday on Instagram, stating: “Update: Anurag Bhai's condition was stable till this morning, but his condition has become serious and worse because his lungs were partially damaged in the accident and developed a serious infection.
He has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia and is currently under the supervision of doctors. We request you all to pray for him.”
Anurag had been discharged from the ICU on Thursday, with Panday posting a photo of him lying on a hospital bed, smiling and flashing a peace sign. At the time, he wrote: “Update: Anurag Bhai is out of the ICU. We are with him 24x7. Pray for his speedy recovery.”
The YouTuber recently stirred controversy by posting an emotional video accusing his family of mentally harassing him over his interfaith marriage with Ritika. In the video, which he described as his ‘final’ one, Anurag claimed that his parents and brother, Kalam Ink, would be responsible if anything happened to him.
Following the car accident, Kalam alleged that Anurag’s fans gathered outside their home and threatened them. Panday responded, emphasizing that the priority is Anurag’s health and the wellbeing of Ritika, who is nearly nine months pregnant.
“We will not comment on any video or statement at this time. Let Anurag recover, and we will issue a statement later,” he wrote.
