Balochistan unveils E-Bike Scheme to empower youth and women

Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti has launched a new electric bike scheme aimed at empowering the province’s youth and women, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday. 

The initiative is designed to provide easier access to environmentally friendly transportation while supporting the mobility needs of young people and female beneficiaries across the province.

Under the scheme, the total cost of each electric bike has been set at Rs175,000.

The Balochistan government will provide a 30 per cent subsidy, amounting to Rs52,500.

According to the scheme’s financial structure, eligible applicants will be required to make an upfront payment of Rs17,500, while the remaining Rs105,000 will be arranged through bank financing.

The balance amount will be payable in easy monthly instalments of Rs 4,773 over a period of 24 months.

The electric bike scheme is expected to provide practical mobility support to students, working professionals and women.
