The Education Department has decided to further tighten supervision of school examination system across Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
In this regard, the School Education Department has issued SOPs for marking annual examination papers.
About 25 percent of papers from across Punjab will be validated under a separate system under school-based assessment.
School heads have been instructed to maintain assessment records.
Action will be taken against heads for incorrect checking or exaggerating results.
Schools giving fake or fabricated results will be punished while school heads giving real and accurate results will be encouraged.
It has been instructed to keep the examination system confidential and transparent in government and outsourced schools.
PECTA will independently check the marking standard of eighth grade examination papers.
The performance of DPIs, directors and CEOs will be assessed against the assessment checking standard.
