Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Wendy Gilmour Friday launched a volunteer campaign of cleaning up the Margala Hills in Islamabad.
Some of the diplomatic colleagues of the Canadian High Commissioner also participated in the clean-up campaign and also tweeted some of their pictures with friends.
She termed her move as important as the Margala Hills were a precious natural resource for Islamabad city and they were happy to do their part to remain it clean.

Earlier, the pictures of British High Commissioner Christian Turner had gone viral with bags filled with solid waste he collected from the Margala Hills on social media a week ago.
The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) sprang into action after this and issued notices to the two food outlets located on Monal area on Margala Hills to submit written replies within seven days.
People visiting Margala Hills used to buy food from these outlets and then have Iftar dinners at the hills. Such people would throw the trash in the hills after having their dinner.
