As many as 5,402 Pakistani beggars were expelled from different countries during 2024 and the first five months of the ongoing year, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In its report submitted to the National Assembly on Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior said that the countries from which these beggars were expelled were Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Malaysia, UAE, Qatar and Oman.
During the year 2024, a total of 4,850 Pakistanis were expelled.
The largest number of beggars, totaling 4,498, were expelled from Saudi Arabia.
The report said that 242 beggars were expelled from Iraq, 55 from Malaysia and 49 from the UAE during the aforementioned period.
It further said that of a total of 552 beggars banished from different countries in the first five months of 2025, 535 were banished from Saudi Arabia, nine from the UAE, and five from Iraq.
