Five people were dead and four received critical injuries when a dumper crushed a rickshaw in Lahore on Wednesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Rescue 1122 confirmed that they pulled four others alive from beneath the wreckage and rushed them to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the incident took place near Aakhri Mint Stop in Baghbanpura when the driver of the dumper lost control and ran over the rickshaw.
The impact was so severe that several individuals were trapped under the heavy vehicle.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and launched a rescue operation.
The injured were pulled from beneath the dumper and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials said all five victims died on the spot.
The rescue team added that the dumper has been removed from the scene, and a search and sweep operation was currently underway to ensure no one remained trapped under the wreckage.
