Second division students are also eligible now to become doctors as Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has lowered the admission criteria for MBBS, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The step has been taken to save private medical colleges from the loss of vacant seats.
Students with 50 percent marks for MBBS and 45 percent marks for BDS are eligible for admission.
Those with lower marks can also take admission in vacant seats in private medical and dental colleges.
PMDC has relaxed the criteria for private medical colleges once.
