Police registered FIR on complaint of Agriculture University Peshawar administration against students involved in setting hostel on fire, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
FIR registered at University Campus Police Station.
According to text of FIR, fire was set on the hostel at 1:45 am on May 12.
Four students have been identified so far on the basis of CCTV footage and photographic evidence.
The accused set fire to the main gate, reception and room door of the hostel and broke the windows of the office.
Computers, records, CCTV cameras and wires were damaged in the fire.
Warden's room, sofas, TV and cupboard were also burnt to ashes.
Security staff's report was provided to the police.
Other accused Identification is being done from CCTV footage.
Footage and photos will be given to campus police for further legal action.
Immediate action should be taken against the accused.
On the night of May 12, a fight broke out between some students and canteen staff in the Agriculture University hostel.
After the fight, hostel students and other colleagues set fire to the Agriculture University hostel.
