Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday chaired a high-level inter-ministerial meeting to review progress on various investment projects involving friendly countries, with a special focus on cooperation with Azerbaijan.

Senior officials from multiple ministries, along with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, attended the meeting. Participants were briefed on the latest developments in energy, investment, trade and IT services, areas in which both countries have recently intensified collaboration.

Foreign Minister Dar emphasized that strengthening Pakistan’s economic partnerships remains a top priority for the government, noting that enhanced cooperation with Azerbaijan offers promising opportunities for long-term economic growth. He urged ministries to convert ongoing investment initiatives into sustainable development projects.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan is actively considering foreign investment in infrastructure and the petroleum sector, sectors seen as critical to boosting national development and energy security.

Directing officials to accelerate the pace of all ongoing projects, Dar underscored the need for efficient coordination among ministries to maximize economic outcomes and deepen bilateral ties.
