Peshawar High Court (PHC) has imposed ban on the use of government vehicles and machinery for political rallies and long marches, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
In a four-page order, the Court observed that the use of rescue machinery and fire brigade in political rallies was blatant dishonesty and it is tantamount to betrayal of public trust.
Peshawar High Court further said that public resources were not the property of any party under Articles 4, 5, 25 of the Constitution.
It further said that government vehicles and machinery were for public service, not for political show. The Court said use of government officials in political activities was tantamount to corruption and misuse of authority which undermines the impartiality of governance.
